Artisanat du bois massif : Des artisans créent avec soin des objets uniques dans leur atelier spécialisé

In Norman dialect, “gllu” means rye straw on Norman cottages

Behind our funny little name hides Baptiste, a great enthusiast.
After studying cabinetmaking and design and several years working on the design of objects, the idea of creating and manufacturing one's own creations matured.

“I no longer wanted to just be a designer but also a manufacturer, to be able to follow the entire life cycle of the product. » (Baptiste)

OUR HISTORY

Baptiste then moved to Normandy, his native region, to found gllu at the beginning of 2018 with his former partner.

In June 2020, he continued the gllu adventure alone with the idea of continuing to grow and develop the brand.

Today, he is accompanied by a team that continues to grow: 6 people in manufacturing and 3 in management!

Creation is trying to make something of what we have observed, of what we have found beautiful, intelligent, different, missing...

When we imagine a new product, it is because we have identified a new need: displaying our cards or printed photos, hanging a bouquet of dried flowers on the wall... or, on the contrary, we sometimes start with a tool or a new form found in the workshop to imagine the use that could be made of it.

We strive as much as possible towards simplicity in the design of objects . This simplification is not to the detriment of aesthetics, on the contrary, it serves it. This also makes it more efficient in its manufacturing, at the right price, while maximizing the value of the material and know-how.

OUR PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO LAST & BE LOVED

These are unique pieces and our customers also make them unique by the compositions they create on them. These are supports on which everyone is free to express their personality and their universe.
