The table is assembled by inserting the top, without screws or Allen keys. The upper angle of the trestles allows the top to slide easily. The trestles, once repositioned, offer maximum stability.

RODERICK FRY

Roderick came up with Pi, a clever system that simplifies the design of a variety of strong, durable tables: a solid wood top that simply slots into self-locking steel trestles, without screws or nuts.

Behind this concept, a committed vision: creating tables
solid, with beautiful materials and short circuit.
Going against the grain of fast-deco, they are designed to last, they can be dismantled and repaired.

An approach that celebrates both the beauty of solid wood and the ingenuity of a design that goes to the essentials.

Before creating gllu, Baptiste worked with Roderick as a designer. There he discovered the taste for doing things simply. Favoring simplicity in creation, going to the essentials to design pieces that are both functional and aesthetic. He also developed a particular sensitivity to the ecological impact of design, integrating this reflection into each step of the manufacturing process.

Facility

Manufacturing

All our products are designed and manufactured by us in our workshop in Normandy.
We get our wood from a sawmill located a few kilometers from our workshop.

We use only local wood species sourced from sustainably managed forests. In Normandy, we have oak and chestnut, noble, robust woods that are excellent for objects and furniture.

Out of love for wood and beautiful objects, we take the time to manufacture and offer you quality and well-finished pieces.

Each piece passes through the hands of the whole team: Baptiste, Mélissa, Agathe, Virginie, Grégoire, Henri, Angélique and Paul.

Eco-Impact

We received an A grade for our environmental and social commitments!

In collaboration with ÉCO IMPACT (the YUKA of furniture), we measured the ecological and social impact of our production.

Each of our products has been individually evaluated according to the following criteria:

- Raw materials : wood from sustainably managed forests

- Transformation : entirely carried out in our workshop, except for the varnishing of our tables carried out by a local craftsman

- Transport : supply of packaging and materials from local or French suppliers

- Distribution : mainly in France, packaging in recycled cardboard, zero plastic

- Sustainability : timeless designs, solid wood, reusable and recyclable (68%; according to ADEME)

- Social impact : support for the local economy, inclusiveness, professional integration and transparency

Delivery times

We manufacture our products in small batches, which allows us to have stock to prepare for your orders.

Only our tables and bench are made to order, so that we can offer you the possibility of choosing your leg heights and tabletop diameters, among other things.

The delivery time is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

Oiled finish

Oiled oak furniture is protected by a tinted oil, which enhances the natural color and feel of the wood while making it more resistant to stains. However, this finish does not offer complete protection against splashes.
It is therefore advisable to quickly wipe away any splashes of liquid or grease to preserve the beauty of the wood.

We use Rubio Oil + 2C premium oil, a VOC-free vegetable oil with a hardener to ensure long-lasting protection.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

Clean the surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge and mild soap or dishwashing liquid.
Rub in the direction of the wood grain. Avoid soaps containing detergents or chemicals. Dry with a soft cloth to avoid streaks.

Protect the furniture with coasters, placemats or mouse pads to avoid damaging the wood, especially with heavy use or excessive heat.

Remember to move objects regularly (pots, vases, etc.) and wipe up any moisture quickly to avoid marks.

OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE

For more specific maintenance , we recommend Rubio® interior soap: an ecological product designed specifically for surfaces treated with Rubio® Monocoat oils.

In case of wear and tear on frequently used surfaces , you can revive their shine with Rubio® Refresh Eco Care Oil, which restores silkiness while strengthening protection.

If a stain appears following contact with liquid or wet metal, use Rubio® Tannin Remover cleaner.

For traces of grease , Rubio® Degreasing Spray Cleaner will be effective.

Varnished finish

Varnished oak furniture benefits from a matte, protective finish that offers enhanced protection against stains and moisture. The varnish forms a solid protective layer that prevents liquids from penetrating the wood, making the furniture easier to maintain on a daily basis.
However, it is advisable to quickly clean up any liquid, grease or dirt to preserve the appearance and avoid any alteration of the finish.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

To dust, use a dry cloth. If cleaning or spilling liquid, wipe with a slightly damp cloth and a natural soap. Rub in the direction of the wood grain. Avoid soaps containing detergents or chemicals. Dry with a soft cloth to prevent streaks.

We didn't settle for standard market dimensions. Our lengths have been carefully thought out to ensure optimal comfort for each guest, with 50 cm of space per person for a fluid layout and 60 cm for absolute comfort.

And we didn't just calculate it, we tested it (and approved it!) during our lunch breaks.
