Malàkio, the shell
In 2020, Morgan and Hugo created Malàkio.
Combining their design skills with their ambitions to take action to solve the problems associated with shell recycling, they develop a composite based on shell waste.
Malàkio works directly with local producers and
and restaurateurs from whom they collect the shellfish. The shells are then sorted, crushed and molded by hand in their Nantes workshop.
This composite is designed to create
everyday objects, accessories and
accessories and furniture.
Gllu, the wood
Like Malàkio, we aim to make design and decoration more sustainable.
This means working with local resources. In Normandy, we are fortunate to have beautiful oak and chestnut forests. That's why we work mainly with these species.
We go to our sawmill, just a few kilometers from our workshop, which obtains its wood from nearby forests. All our production is then carried out in our workshop, by ourselves!
